“Breaking down the barriers for new generations” is an EVS multilateral project between Europe and Latin American countries, promoting social inclusion and participation of young people. It is based on the idea according to which all young people from all over the world have the right of fulfilling their potential in their best way. It aims in fact at highlighting, among volunteers and local communities, the importance of having an active role in our societies by fighting social exclusion of young people as a way to create a better future.

Through this EVS project 11 volunteers were directly involved in 9 hosting projects dealing with integration of childern and young people that, because of economical, social, physical and mental difficulties, do not have easy access to social life. The activities implemented were diverse and varied according to hosting projects and countries. The project involved 4 European countries: Italy, Spain, France and Greece and 4 Latin American countries: Mexico, Brazil, Peru and Uruguay. Thanks to this evs project we want ed to foster the concept of active citizenship through intercultural activities carrying on dialogue that promotes respect for differences.
